About Bill Holley

Participate in Your Own Rescue

Bill grew up in Bourbonnais, Illinois, and has spent more than three decades helping people through some of life's most difficult moments. His career includes working as a mental health technician and medical discharge planner in a hospital setting, 25 years as a school social worker in an elementary district, and years providing therapy during evenings and weekends. He holds bachelor's degrees in Rehabilitation Counseling and Psychology from Southern Illinois University, a Master of Social Work from the University of Illinois, and has completed advanced training in Critical Incident Stress Management.

Bill's life has been shaped by both professional experience and personal loss. Widowed after the tragic crash that claimed his first wife's life, he later remarried and found renewed purpose in helping others discover that healing is possible. He encourages his audiences to recognize that while adversity cannot always be avoided, our response to it is what’s most important. His presentations are designed to leave the audience with hope, new perspectives, and the belief that we each have a role to play in our own rescue.

When he's not speaking or writing, Bill enjoys playing guitar, golfing, and spending time with his grandchildren. He loves to travel and is excited for the opportunity to share his message with audiences across the country.
